Have you thought about a small outboard? Mounted on a suitable bracket assembly, it could be dropped over the top of the rudder blade.<br /><br />It seems to me the alternative is to lengthen the shaft by 6 to 10 feet, to compensate for the extra height when standing on the bow, stern, etc. In wood, this would be heavy, and in aluminium it would be both expensive & unwieldy.<br /><br />Just ideas, it's great to see in in the water.
