Malta in March
March 2014
My work has taken me back to Malta.
Nice I hear you say, a few days in the warm. Wrong, it was much cooler than the UK in spite of being 1200 miles to the south, and only a few miles from North Africa.
My trip involved an insanely early flight out which provided an opportunity to take a leisurely look at Mdina, that extraordinary "silent city" which atop the highest point on the island.
Its an intriguing walled city, all narrow winding streets, soaring walls. Well worth a visit if you ever get an opportunity.

Hi Andy,
Our first holiday abroad was to Malta, a great place and lovely people. I have a promise to myself to revisit the silent city, it is a special place, one of the most atmospheric places I have ever visited. Enjoy your trip
I wish I could have a job that set's me along on travels. Seems like we step in familiar places, Malta was the very 1st abroad trip I did at 15 years of age. I have been back a couple of times since, and to the places you mentioned. Looking forward to your next flight of fancy. Jacquie
Nev and Jacquie - there is a bit more to Malta before I am done with the blog posts.
