April 2012
Our visit to Warsaw coincided with a public holiday which saw the main routes closed to traffic and the city flooded with visitors. Unlike the UK, the weather stepped it up a gear and the temperature rose to close on 30 degrees!
A mix of time, sun and vodka saw the population take to the parks in droves, generally drifting about and trying to keep cool.
Perhaps my favourite image of the trip was taken whilst downing a litre of Polish beer in the old town. The entertainers were out and this included a girl making bubbles, much to the delight of the children. The above little girl was particularly taken with the bubbles and I caught the moment the bubble burst.
